Griner Engineering was contracted to provide mechanical engineering design and LEED® commissioning services for a new 85,000 square foot, two story Emergency Responders Building and a 10,000 square foot Vehicle Storage Building. The Emergency Responders Building is a storm hardened structure designed to withstand 190 mph wind gusts for a period of three seconds. The building serves as the base for the emergency traffic operations in the event of a natural disorder. The design allows for the structure to be self sustainable for a period of seven days with on site water storage, waste storage and redundant air conditioning equipment.This building is LEED® certified Gold.
